I am Liona, co-creator and dinner hostess of The Sultan’s Table. My husband’s story began on a rock in his grandmother’s kitchen, where he learned that food was never just about taste. It was devotion. It was devotion, presence, love.
That lesson never left him. It carried him through years in restaurants and eventually to becoming a graduate of the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. His skills were sharpened in kitchens, but what he discovered went beyond technique. He found that people are hungry for more than food. We’ve seen couples dressed for date night sit in silence. Families rushing through meals, ruled by the clock instead of each other. The plates were full, but the hearts were empty.
That emptiness is what we set out to change. Together, my husband and I created Sultan Arôme not just to serve food, but to create a table where memory, meaning, and connection are restored. He brings the fire of the kitchen, and I bring the warmth of the room. He prepares the meal, and I, Liona, shape the atmosphere guiding conversations that turn ordinary dinners into extraordinary nights.
In a world that waits until death to gather, sending flowers to graves instead of sharing meals in life, we believe the table is where love should begin.
